PDF VIEWER FOR MAC NOT WORKING IN CHROME PDF
I know the users can just download the PDF files and open them with Adobe Reader but they are not happy doing that because it changes their work flow and adds extra (unnecessary) steps. Called Ricoh and talked to a technician (which was not willing to help) and his response was that this is not a printer issue.Disabled Trend Micro Worry-Free Security Agent.Disabled Chrome's hardware acceleration option.Tried another printer (same brand/model).Tried printing using a computer with a fresh installation of Windows 10 Pro and AMD FX 8150 Eight-Core 3.6 GHz CPU, 32 GB RAM, 256 GB SSD.Changed printer properties from printing immediately to spool all pages and then print.Ensured the latest version of Chrome and Firefox is installed.Used CCleaner to clean all temp files, cache and cookies.PostScript3 Driver Ver.1.02 Released Date:.PCL6 Driver for Universal Print Ver.4.20.0.0 Released Date:.
Used different printer drivers from the manufacturer's website. This printer has 256 MB of memory but if the PDF file has a lot of pages and is printed from Chrome, the printer reports the following error: But if they download the file and open it with Adobe Reader the spool file is only 1.3 MB and it prints fast. When printing from a web browser the spool file gets too big (7.25 MB for a 312 KB file with 5 pages). It prints one page, waits about 30 seconds or so, prints another page, and so on. The problem is that the printer takes a very long time to print even a 5 page PDF document. They open the attachments and print them right from Chrome without downloading the file to their desktop. These 2 users work directly from their Gmail online account. It works fine except when printing PDF files from Google Chrome (also tried Firefox). We bought a brand new Ricoh SP C261SFNw multi-function printer and set it up on the network for 2 users. Thank you in advance for reading this and for any help you can provide.
